DVD's That Will Uplift and Educate You

I have seen a few DVD's lately that I thought would be helpful in educating you in the area of nutrition, and uplifting your soul!

The first one is called "Food Inc." This documentary is profound, and you will never see food in the same way again. As a society we need to stop being in denial about where our foods are coming from, and how they are being raised and grown.

It is truly frightening when you watch what is happening in this industry. Please watch this and look up the website for Food Inc. There is a petition you can sign to help change what is going on in our food world.

The second DVD I want to recommend to you, you may have already seen, but it is good to watch it again. It is called, "Super Size Me". It is about a man who chose to eat nothing but McDonalds for thirty days, and what happens to his health in the process.

It also shows what schools are serving the kids, and how one school changed their food program to healthy sources. Not only did the kids get physically healthier, they were able to learn better, and they did not have the behavior issues that they had when they were eating junk. A great documentary to see.

I love uplifting movies. One of my all time favorites is called, "Rudy". This is a true story about a boy who grew up in a small mid western town where most of the male population went to work for the local steel mill. College was not an option. Rudy had a dream of going to Notre Dame University and playing for the Notre Dame football team.

The problem was that Rudy had poor grades, and was physically very small, not football player material. Without family support, and against all odds, Rudy made it to Notre Dame and became a player on the team. This movie will make you cheer and cry in joy when this underdog attains his dream. If you believe it, and persist in making something happen, You can!

I recently watched a documentary about a man from South Carolina. It is called, "A Man Named Pearl". Once again this involves a man who has no business succeeding in what he attempts to do, but with his belief and work ethic, he accomplishes the most amazing things. He creates a Topiary garden to rival any expert horticulturist around.

The thing that most struck me about Pearl is his attitude and belief system. What an incredible human being. We can all learn something from Pearl. I hope you take the time to see what this man has done for himself, his town, and anyone who comes into contact with him. Brilliant!

So get educated and lift yourself up by watching these DVD's. You will be glad that you did!

Till Tomorrow,
Queenie
